The Mani is a spectacular region located in the Messinian Peloponnese. This coast of southern Greece is feted by travel connoisseurs as the New Côte d'Azur and the validity of this comparison assumes form and substance when you set eyes on the magnificent and pristine panoramas of the Mani. Set dramatically against a backdrop of crystalline aqua-blue waters and distant snowcapped mountains, this stunning area overlooks the calm seas and splendid sunsets of the Messinian Gulf. 3 hours & 30 minutes' drive from either the capital of Athens or the port of Patras, and just 35 km from the nearby city of Kalamata, it remains exclusive, remote and unspoilt – a region of exceptional light, grace and grandeur with vistas that are retrospective and spacious.

The rental property is a three storey house on the coast of the upper Mani coastline in the Southern Peleponnese. The house approximately 200 metres above the unspoiled beach of Kamares, with the mountain range of the Taygetos in a horsehoe behind the house and the bay to the front, with an expansive view across the Gulf of Lakonia. It stands in an oak grove of some 6000 square metres.
The house can be rented as a whole, sleeping seven comfortably, or separately with the bottom floor accommodating two people and the first and second floors suiting a family.
Both sections have their own bathroom/toilet and kitchen areas. The ground floor has a raised stone section and a side decking which catches the morning sun.
The second floor has its own terrace looking over the sea, and also a decking surround for the midday and evening sun. The top floor with four sets of windows (taking in a 360 degree view) has a much larger terrace with a similar view.



There is a washing machine and extra toilet/shower situated under the spread branches of a nearby oak tree.
There are telephone connections on the ground floor and the first floor, which also contains television, DVD and video players, which in our experience is useful for parties with children.
